As part of our objective to make all of CivicRisk’s members feel more secure, supported and cared for, we offer an abundance of funding grants to help with your unique risk management needs.
How do funding grants work?
Funding is available for all member councils as a grant program to help offset the costs of mitigating risks identified in our Continuous Risk Improvement Program (CRIP) audits.
Each member is eligible to receive $20,000 per financial year to undertake risk initiatives, mitigate claims, facilitate workshops, conduct training sessions, provide driver training and reduce at-fault incidents.
In addition, any funds that remain unused at the end of the period can be rolled over. However, we encourage you to make the most out of this opportunity and benefit your organisation, as we have a rollover cap of two years, or $40,000.
To enquire about your council’s available balance, contact us and we’ll be happy to provide you with an update.
What can the funding be used for?
Flexibility, innovation and creativity are the foundation of our organisation. Our members enjoy the freedom to choose what they invest their funding grants toward, so long as it contributes to their risk management strategies.
Here are some examples of how our members have used the funding in the past:
- Asset Management Plans
- Business Continuity Plan Reviews, Training and Testing
- Code of Conduct Training
- Contractor Management
- Cyber Risk Assessments
- Delegation Templates
- Driver Safety Training and Workshops
- Risk Assessments
- Risk Reporting Tools
- Strategic Risk Workshops
These initiatives help councils keep their communities safer and more resilient, while also building their capacity to deal with the increasing number of risks they face.
If your council hasn’t applied yet, simply complete the Risk Enhance Funding Grant Application Form available on the member portal as soon as possible. That way, we can approve your funding and you can get started on your projects.
